Using Biological Information to Solve Weed Problems- hands-on seminar: Aurora

Description: This workshop is useful for agricultural professionals and experienced commercial farmers; it will not provide introductory weed management information.
Chuck will introduce a draft version of his new book Manage Weeds on Your Farm: A Guide to Ecological Strategies, due to be published soon by USDA: Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education.
During the workshop we will:
- Identify on-farm weed topics of most interest
- Break into small groups and use the book to develop management strategies
- Re-convene as a group to discuss different approaches
After Chuck’s workshop you are welcome to join us to look at a variety of small farm vegetable weed management equipment including a 4-wheel hoe, farm hand carts, tine weeders, flamers and tool bar setups. and. We will discuss possible future small-scale equipment projects.
